Ikumapayi stood at the edge of the forest, eyes scanned the expanse. She has decided to explore the forest where the alleged experiment had taken place. As she walked deeper, she noticed that the trees seemed to be twisted and gnarled, their branches like grasping fingers.
She stumbled upon an old, abandoned laboratory, the walls covered in vines and moss. “That must be the said laboratory” Ikumapayi concluded. She trudged towards the laboratory.
Cobwebs hanged at every corner, dried and decayed leaves crunches as she moves. Ikumapayi’s heart was racing as she pushed open the creaky door and stepped inside.
The lab was dimly lit, the air thick with the scent of decay. Ikumapayi’s eyes adjusted slowly, and she found evidence of the experiment that Ibironke mentioned. There were strange devices and equipment scattered all over the room.
She noticed a large, metal door with a sign that read “Authorized Personnel Only.” Ikumapayi’s curiosity was piqued, and she decided to delve further. She trudged forward, pushed the door open to a dark passage.
A blast of air carrying the scream of unknown voices blasted out. Ikumapayi startle back, rooted in her spot with her eyes closed. There was definitely something off about the lab.
