About the Walmart Spring Sophomore Summit
Walmart and Sam’s Club are hosting a three-day immersive experience designed to introduce students to the world of software engineering at Walmart Global Tech. This exclusive event will provide professional development workshops, networking opportunities, and social engagements with Walmart leaders, associates, and campus recruiters. Best of all, selected students will have the opportunity to interview for a 2026 internship!
Summit Details
- When: April 25–27, 2025
- Where: Walmart Home Office, Bentonville, Arkansas
- What’s Covered: Walmart will cover flights, hotel, meals, transportation, and activities for the entire duration of the summit.

Who Should Apply?
We are looking for talented students with a passion for software engineering. Ideal candidates:
- Are current undergraduate sophomores with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027
- Are pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Are excited to explore careers in Backend, Front-End, and Full Stack Software Engineering
- Have experience or interest in technologies such as JavaScript, React, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, Cosmos DB, Docker, AI/ML
- Note: Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.
Software Engineering Internship Opportunity
Selected students will have the chance to interview for Walmart’s 2026 Software Engineering Internship, where they will:
- Develop innovative software solutions to improve Walmart & Sam’s Club technology
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features
- Work with industry-leading technologies in a fast-paced environment
- Contribute to projects that impact millions of customers and associates worldwide
Compensation and Benefits
If selected for the 2026 Software Engineering Internship, you will receive competitive compensation based on your location:
- Sunnyvale, CA: $25.00–$46.00 per hour
- Bentonville, AR: $19.00–$35.00 per hour
- Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, or season.
