A Welcome Relief for Nigerians
This price reduction is the second in February 2025, following a previous decrease of ₦60.00 earlier in the month. It’s also the latest in a series of price reductions by Dangote Refinery, which reduced the price of PMS by ₦70.50 in December 2024.
According to the refinery, this price adjustment is designed to provide essential relief to Nigerians in anticipation of the upcoming Ramadan season. It’s also part of the company’s commitment to supporting the economic recovery policy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by alleviating the financial burden on the Nigerian populace.
Dangote Refinery assured the public of a consistent supply of petroleum products, with sufficient reserves to meet domestic demand. The company also aims to export surplus products to enhance the country’s foreign exchange earnings.
The reduction in petrol price by Dangote Refinery is a welcome development for Nigerians. As the country prepares for Ramadan, this move is expected to provide some relief to individuals and businesses. We’ll continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary.
